Fuel Peat Production.

The Joint Stock Company "Olaines Kudra" can offer two kinds of fuel peat - sod peat and milled fuel peat. Moisture content of sod peat is 30-40% lower and has a higher calorific value per volume unit than milled peat and therefore can have a more efficient transportation. Sod peat is used mainly for fuel peat production.

Milled peat is commonly produced by large scale mechanized peat extractions, and has a moisture content of 40-50%. JSC "Olaines Kudra" produces various kinds of milled peat which is sold in bulk, and is exported to the Eastern and Central Europe.
